On reading Revelation 7 today, it was the above passage that caught my eye. The fact that God is powerful. I think we forget sometimes how powerful He really is.
God created the earth by the word of His mouth! He raised Jesus from the grave! He can calm the storm with one word! He can heal the sick, and bring the earth to the end of its days in a blink of an eye.
We so often at this time of year think of gentle Jesus, meek and mild. This is not the case though, as He is more powerful than we could ever imagine. There is nothing that God cannot do. We need to remember that we serve a Powerful creator, who chose to die for us so that we could be forgiven. Let's make sure that we remember that our God is an awesome God! The victory is His! He's won!
